So lately, I've been getting a few messages about a new Travel-based Network Marketing company called Plannet Marketing. And chances are if you're reading this, you're probably thinking about joining and you're doing some last minute research on the company. If that's the case, then look no further. In this Plannet Marketing Review, I'll cover all the essential details you'll need before you join. With that said, I do want to disclose that I am not a Plannet Marketing distributor. Bradley brings with him 20 years of experience in Network Marketing. Before starting Plannet Marketing, Bradley was the Master Distributor and # 1 Income Earner in Paycation Travel. He literally had everyone in Paycation in his downline and was responsible for bringing in the company's top leadership group. I'm not sure what happened, but around the time Craig Jerabeck and Barry Donalson left 5linx and joined Paycation was the same time Bradley decided to leave. Maybe he did not feel good about those guys joining and being sponsored by the company when he was the Master Distributor. Who knows? And who really cares? Regardless of the reason, it looks like Bradley was willing to walk away from everything he built to start from scratch again. Overall, the company looks pretty solid. And while it's too early to tell if they'll even be around for the long haul because they're only a few months old, Bradley and the other members of the Corporate team bring a ton of experience in Network Marketing and Travel, which is a good thing.

How Do You Make Money With Plannet Marketing?

The actual compensation plan provides several ways for distributors to get paid. But the crown jewel of the compensation plan is the 3X9 Matrix. A History of Digital Radiography

Although X-rays have been in existence since the early 1900s, digital radiography has only been around since since 1970. However, since that time, digital radiography has been implemented into more and more large and small hospitals, imaging centers and medical facilities an in many areas of specialization. Popular imaging systems in use today include the CR and DR systems.

CR, or computed radiography, uses an imaging cassette of phosphor to create digital images, and DR systems, or direct digital radiography, uses a collection plate for image capture. DR systems are currently in use as urgent care DR, veterinary DR, chiropractic DR and podiatry DR units. These two systems, along with related hardware and software units such as the DICOM digital format, PACS and RIS, have brought many medical facilities up to the modern age with state-of-the-art digital radiography capabilities.

Much of the early medical digital radiography inventions and applications occurred at around the same time as personal computers became more affordable and thus more commonplace. The first digital imaging application was the invention of the CT, or computed tomography scanner, in 1967, and which became a prototype in 1971. Its inventors, Godfrey Hounsfield and Allan McLeod Cormack, won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for their invention in 1979. Television technology also paralleled medical technological innovation with the switch from analog to digital capabilities.

MRI, or magnetic resonance imaging, originated in the 1950s. Early research on the method was conducted in the 1970s and finally it was cleared for use on humans in 1984.

In the 1990s, a shift in digital radiography was made. X-ray images, it was discovered, could be stored on phosphor screens, and this formed the basis of today's CR imaging systems.

Complementary PACS systems had their debut in 1982, although the idea was conceived over twenty years earlier. When the Internet became a worldwide actuality in the mid-1980s, it also had a major impact on digital radiography. Today's digital medical images that are saved in the DICOM imaging format, similar to the common JPEG format, can be stored on a server for archival purposes, can be viewed on a personal computer outfitted with PACS software and a diagnostic monitor that turns it into a clinical workstation, and can be sent and received via the World Wide Web.

In the last decade, as the price of personal computers and other electronic devices has dropped significantly, and so too has the cost effectiveness of digital medical imaging increased, making digital radiography an affordable and modern alternative from its humble beginnings in film-based X- ray systems.

Linux Explained

Today, I will introduce you to the joys of Open Source software with a special mention going to the Linux Distribution.

Let's take it one step at a time. Windows comes in different varieties, for example, XP, Vista, 7 and so on. So does Linux, however there are some fundamental differences between the two.

At the time of writing there are literally hundreds of Linux Distributions available from hundreds of different companies all offering their own "flavor" of Linux. Since there is no one company in charge of Linux development distributions can fork off and take their own direction, for example Slackware is aimed at the Linux pro where Smoothwall is a dedicated firewall. Chances are there is a distribution which fits your own personal criteria.

OK, so which one is best? Well this depends on your own point of view. Linux pros might like Slackware or Gentoo, intermediates with some knowledge of Linux might like Fedora while total newbees might like Ubuntu or Mint. Your best bet is to take a look at Distrowatch to see a list of all the distributions and pick the one that suits you.

This is where Windows users will usually perk up and say Linux is rubbish, it has no support, no packages, you have to use the command line all the time and it is not compatible with anything. Lets use Linux Mint 12 as an example. Linux Mint 12 comes with the option of 30,000 packages for you to download if you wish. Does sir want a package to play their CD's on then how about Rhythmbox or a package for pictures then use GIMP. You see there is a package for just about anything you could wish for.

What about support? You can use the online community forums for your distribution for hints and solutions on how to fix any problems that you might have (in the same way you do for windows). The thing is that you will probably have less things go wrong with a linux system than you will with windows.

As for the command line you can use it if you wish but it is not necessary. It is true that to fully understand Linux the command line is essential but if you only want to browse the web, download packages and just do all the usual stuff then you don't need to go near it.

So lets round up. Linux HAS support, Linux HAS thousands of packages, you DON'T have to use the command line if you don't want to and IS compatible with all the standards (just save stuff as a doc file for instance). It is also more stable, free (no license fee) and you DON'T have to worry about viruses. Go on give it a go!

Five Reasons Why We Need to Follow Safety Signs

We see signs everywhere. When on the street, it tells us where to pass. When we are in the park, it reminds us to clean after our pets. If we visit unfamiliar territories, it warns us of the danger in the area.

Signs are very helpful. However, many ignore it. There are people who still use their mobile phones even if they are in a gasoline station. Some still smokes even if there is a no smoking sign. Many do not take not of the signs because they do not realize their important.

There are many reasons why we have to follow safety signs. Here are five of them:

1. It will keep you safe. The signs provide information about the area you are entering. If the building have zones you should not visit, you will see a sign that tells you to go away. It also gives warning. If the surface is hot, a sign will warn you about it so that you can take precautionary measures if ever you need to touch the surface.

2. It will keep the others safe. Keep in mind that your actions will affect the others. For example, a warning sign tells you that the room has highly flammable substances. It forbids you to use your lighter or any fire starters. However, you took that for granted. You lit a cigarette, and it caused fire to burst.

The incident above will not only endanger you, it will also put everyone in the area at risk. You are unsure if someone will be able to stop the spread of fire.

3. It will keep you out of trouble. There are signs that remind you of the law. In the streets for example, a sign will tell you to slow down. There are also signs that will indicate that you are about to enter a school zone. Following these signs will keep you out of trouble. You will not get a ticket for over speeding and you will help keep the kids safe.

4. It will direct you to safety. There are safety signs that give instructions on what to do in times of emergency. There are signs that point you to where the potable water is. Signs also indicate how far you are from the next gasoline station.

One of the most important signs you should find is the exit. When you get to a building, it is important that you see visible signs of where the safety exits are. Fire exit or emergency exits are very important because you never know when you emergency will occur.

5. It will help the society find order. Imagine what will happen if everyone in the community refuse to follow the signs. People will cross in any parts of the streets even if it is prohibited. People will throw their waste anywhere. Lastly, they will not mind warning signs, leading to a very chaotic neighborhood.

It is important to follow signs because it is primarily for the well-being of the people. If the establishment or the government does not care for the people, then they would not exert efforts in putting those signs up.

The History Of Industrial Engineering

The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology defines industrial engineering as: the profession in which a knowledge of the mathematical and natural sciences gained by study, experience and practice is applied with judgment to develop ways to economically, the materials and forces of nature for the benefit of mankind concerned with the design, improvement and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, equipment and energy. It draws upon specialized knowledge and skill in the mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems.

History

The origins of industrial engineering can be traced back to many different sources. Fredrick Winslow Taylor is most often considered as the father of industrial engineering even though all his ideas where not original. Some of the preceding influences may have been Adam Smith, Thomas Malthus, David Ricardo and John Stuart Mill. All of their works provided classical liberal explanations for the successes and limitations of the Industrial Revolution.

Another major contributor to the field was Charles W. Babbage. a mathematics professor. One of his major contributions to the field was his book On the Economy of Machinery and Manufacturers in 1832. In this book he discusses many different topics dealing with manufacturing, a few of which will be extremely familiar to an IE. Babbage discusses the idea of ​​the learning curve, the division of task and how learning is affected, and the effect of learning on the generation of waste.

In the late nineteenth century more developments where being made that would lead to the formalization of industrial engineering. Henry R. Towne stressed the economic aspect of an engineer's job. Towne belonged to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) as did many other early American pioneers in this new field. The IE handbook says the, "ASME was the breeding ground for industrial engineering. Towne along with Fredrick A. Halsey worked on developing and presenting wage incentive plans to the ASME. It was out of these meetings that the Halsey plan of wage payment developed. The purpose was to increase the productivity of workers without negatively affecting the cost of production. The plan suggested that some of the gains be shared with the employees .. This is one early example of one profit sharing plan.

Henry L. Gantt belonged to the ASME and presented papers to the ASME on topics such as cost, selection of workers, training, good incentive plans, and scheduling of work. He is the originator of the Gantt chart, currently the most popular chart used in scheduling of work.

hat would Industrial Engineering be without mentioning Fredrick Winslow Taylor. Taylor is probably the best known of the pioneers in industrial engineering. His work, like others, covered topics such as the organization of work by management, worker selection, training, and additional compensation for those individuals that could meet the standard as developed by the company through his methods.

The Gilbreths are accredited with the development of time and motion studies. Frank Bunker Gilbreth and his wife Dr. Lillian M. Gilbreth worked on understanding fatigue, skill development, motion studies, as well as time studies. Lillian Gilbreth had a Ph.D. in psychology which helped in understanding the many people issues. One of the most significant things the Gilbrethss did was to classify the basic human motions into seventeen types, some effective and some non-effective. They labeled the table of classification therbligs. Effective therbligs are useful in accomplishing work and non-effective therbligs are not. Gilbreth connected that the time to complete an effective therblig can be shortened but will be very hard to eliminate. On the other hand non-effective therbligs should be completely eliminated if possible.

In 1948, the American Institute for Industrial Engineers (AIIE), was opened for the first time and began to give a professional authenticity for the practicing engineers. Up to this time industrial engineers really had no specific place in the hierarchy of a company. The ASME was the only other society that required its members to have an engineering degree prior to the development of the AIIE.

What is the future for Industrial Engineers? With analytical methods and the advancing technologies for the computer, modeling complex production and service systems will become more and more an every day task.

Performing a motion study. Every job can be broken down into its' fundamental work elements. The Gilbreth family found that there are seventeen of these motions. The time to complete each motion does not change. Jobs can be studied visually or through the assistance of a camera for micro-motion studies.

The environment for the workers also needs to be set up to promote efficiency of work. Tools should be placed in fixed locations to eliminate the search and selection therbligs. Work surfaces and chairs should be adjusted to the correct working heights to eliminate stress. Whenever possible, gravity feeders should be used to deliver parts to the correct location. The worker's tools should be designed to eliminate multiple cuts. Adjustment handles should be designed to maximize the operator's mechanical advantage.

Performing a time study. Without a standard the company will find it hard to estimate lead-time on their products. Times very greatly when the employee does not know what the expectation of company is. In order to correct this problem the IE will develop a fair standard expectation for each operation. It has been estimated that 12% of a company total cost comes from direct labor. Another 43% of cost comes from the material cost. The other 45% is spent in overhead. So the idea that the largest productivity gains can be felt on the floor does not hold up in this light. A good time study will take into account the unavoidable delays, fatigue, and to an extent, outside interferences. Time for wasteful steps, such as searching for tools, will not be included in the final standard. The expectation is that the workplace will be designed to accommodate the work and will be free from this type of waste.

Set-Up Times Set up time is the amount of time it takes to begin producing different parts on a machine. If set-up times remain large the company will operate with high levels of work in progress and finished goods tying up the companies valuable capital. Companies that fail to reduce their set-up times have a tendency to look sluggish in regards to their customers.

Cost An IE will generally be responsible for coming up with a cost analysis on the equipment purchase. There are a several ways of coming up with this. Lifehow long the machine is expected to last when developing the cost analysis.

Efficiency The traditional way of looking at efficiency was to keep the machine running at a 100% The idea was the cost of the machine could be spread out over the amount of time it was kept running. The higher the machines efficiency, time running / time available, the better the accounting numbers looked in regards to machine cost.

Material The IE is concerned with the delivery and flow of material throughout the plant, often the plant has evolved as the company has.

Lot size To allow the manufacturer to stay flexible the production lot sizes should be minimalized. This will only be economical after the reduction of machine set-ups have been achieved.

Inventory Levels Since inventory is capital that cannot be converted until finished and purchased by a consumer, it should be kept to a minimal. Inventories not only tie up capital but if the customer requests a change then the inventory runs the risk of becoming obsolete.

Quality The quality of the material can affect all parts of the system. Poor quality material often introduces excessive amounts of rework into each of the processes. A typical job for an IE would be to work with the quality department to set up a Quality Management system QMS.

Maintenance The amount of maintenance that the machine is going to require is a variable that must be considered. Another issue about maintenance is whether or not the staff on hand will need to be retrained.

Real Estate Investment Outlook

Although it appears to have been mainly technical factors that triggered the correction in the stock market, inflation concerns have been the major cause for plummeting stock market prices. We have outlined such a scenario of inflation and its impact on real estate investments.

Indeed, the difference between current and trend economic growth is moving close to zero, rising labor demand is putting upward pressure on wages and salaries, but it is still far from a strong acceleration in inflation rates. Meanwhile, the recommendation by the US Department of Commerce in its investigation to restrict aluminum and steel imports on national security grounds is a reminder that the risk of escalating trade tension has a significant impact on real estate investments.

We are not suggesting that the probabilities of risks have risen substantially in light of these events. However, we argue that higher volatility combined with uncertainties about the future uncertain outlook for US trade policy is not an environment where we should risk everything on one endeavor, but rather seek returns by pursuing opportunities in the real estate market.

It would be more than natural that unjustified price appreciations will be corrected over time. Some teams believe that rising inflation may have played a prominent role in the recent stock market sell-off. However, higher inflation points to an overheating economy and rising wages could lower profit margins. Neither case obviously applies at the current time. However, historical evidence shows that periods when inflation begins to rise often create volatility in real estate markets and, on average, returns are meager. Finally yet importantly, higher interest rates could hit real estate prices if they reflect rising risk. Higher interest rates should be less relevant if they result from higher growth.

For now, we expect the implications of rising interest rates on the real estate outlook to be limited. A more persistent significant decline in real estate prices could, however, be associated with somewhat slower growth, either because the economy anticipates a slowdown, or because economic decline itself dampens growth.

The impact of rising interest rates on growth also depends on the factors that pushed up interest rates. The rise in interest rates could be the consequence of stronger growth momentum, in which case the economic fallout is understandably limited. However, if higher interest rates reflect rising risks, for instance, then growth may well suffer more significantly. Financial conditions remain very loose and interest rates relatively low. This should continue to support economic growth.

Therefore, we are keeping our scenario of sustained economic growth: (1) higher world economic activity, (2) rising fixed capital formation, (3) a very gradual adjustment of monetary policy in the US. We acknowledge the risks from higher protectionism, as recent announcements are a reminder that trade frictions could escalate significantly. At this point, it remains to be seen what action the US will take and how other countries may respond.

Since the beginning of the Great Recession in 2008, most have averted the specter of deflation by deploying conventional and – even more importantly – unconventional measures of monetary policy. Inflation in the US averaged around 1.5%, with a dispersion of -2% in mid 2009 to approximately 3.8% in late 2011. Currently, US consumer price inflation stands at 2.1%.

In the US, the government is embarking on a path of fiscal stimulus, and more trade tariffs and trade friction may push inflation higher. However, several factors are keeping underlying inflationary pressure contained for now, including still-cautious wage bargaining behavior by households, price setting by firms and compositional changes in the labor market. In addition, the recent readings have likely overstated current price trends, (the surprising weakness in inflation in 2017). Outside the US, wage and price trends have not changed much in recent months.

Against this backdrop, we do not foresee any surprises over the course of 2018. The Fed is expected to gradually lift rates with caution depending on the tightness of the US labor market, the evidence of accelerating wage dynamics and the potential impact of higher financial market volatility on economic growth.

In addition, a tax policy that fosters the competitiveness of Corporate America and attracts direct foreign investments, helping to raise the potential growth rate of US, should also be supportive for the greenback. At the same time, there are as many factors pointing to a glorious future for real estate markets

According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the current probability of recession for the US economy stands at around 4%, moving to approximately 10% at the end of 2018. In our view, the gradual tightening of monetary policy, limited inflation expectations and cautious investment demand, will keep real interest rates relatively low. Therefore, we prefer real estate investments in 2018.

Ethical Engineering Practices

Engineering jobs are not always solely about engineering. Engineering functions were traditionally focused on building something using different variations of math and science. These jobs have recently transformed into combining more business functions. In John Hooker's white paper, he states, "engineers are more involved in startup companies in which they make business decisions as well as engineering decisions." Cross-functional teams include members in engineering, sales, manufacturing, marketing, and warranty. Many engineers today have multiple hats to wear and are even labeled as "project" engineers. Wikipedia defines project engineering as "bridging the boundaries between engineering and project management." Since the role of the engineering field has changed over the years, engineers face more and more ethical choices and decisions. Engineers must create designs and services to customers in an ethical manner.

There are many different professional societies for engineers to join. Some of these societies include but are not limited to the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Project Management Institute (PMI), The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). Each of these organizations has a similar code of ethics for its members.

A sample of a societies code of ethics from the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE):

"Engineers, in the fulfillment of their professional duties, shall:

1-Hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public.

2-Perform services only in areas of their competence.

3-Issue public statements only in an objective and truthful manner.

4-Act for each employer or client as faithful agents or trustees.

5-Avoid deceptive acts.

6-Conduct themselves honorably, responsibly, ethically, and lawfully so as to enhance the honor, reputation, and usefulness of the profession. "

Once a person joins one of these societies, an oath to uphold the code is taken. Members must take the code seriously for the professional to be dedicated to his / her employer, customers, vendors, or the general public.

Another ethical engineering practice is to conduct testing per the standards applicable to the engineered product or service. Underwriters Laboratories (UL), the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and the European Commission (CE) are all standards agencies that provide standards for safety of products to consumers. Products must be successfully tested based on the current standards to be able to apply the agency mark on the product. Engineers must perform tests in an honest and ethical manner. Documentation of the test data should be recorded in a fashion that can be reviewed years later if necessary. Test data should be honest, accurate, and not forged or altered. Recording failed test data is just as important as successful test data. Test data can be used in a court of law if someone is injured or killed by a product that has an agency label. Accurate and thorough data is essential for a solid case.

Other ethical principles that an engineer may face are conduct related. An engineer must keep a professional work ethic and abide by the code of ethics. One must not be bribed or misguided by a vendor or customer to receive anything of monetary value. Test data and other information, such as patent ideas or any other intellectual property, must be kept confidential. Customers must be able to trust the engineer or engineering service.

Different Biker Patches

A biker patch or "color" is usually sewn on a vest made of leather or denim to denote the biker's group, organization or gang. These sacred patches are worn with honor and may contain secret symbols that say things about the group or the individual wearing it.

There are basically 3 types of biker patches which come in one, two or three pieces. The one-piece patch symbolizes a motorcycle organization such as Harley Owners Group (HOG) and Honda Riders Club. Two-piece patches are usually used by riding clubs or may symbolize a motorcycle club awaiting the transition to be a full three-piece outlaw club. The three-piece patches symbolize an outlaw motorcycle gang.

Biker patches basically have three parts; the top rocker, the bottom rocker, and the group or gang emblem in the middle. The two crescent shaped rockers display the name of the club on the top and the place or region of the group on the bottom. Sometimes the word MC is placed beside the emblem or rocker to note that it is a Motorcycle Club.

In 1947, the American Motorcycle Association stated that "99% of all of their members are law-abiding citizens and only 1% are Outlaw" following a violent incident in Hollister, California. This gave birth to the One Percenters or Outlaw Motorcycle Clubs. These clubs cut their one piece patches into three to distinguish themselves from the rest of the law-abiding groups. A diamond shaped 1% patch may also be worn with the three piece patch. To show that they are the outlawed 1%.

Biker patches may have a hundred meanings and their symbols can stand for anything. Usually, only bona fide members of the group truly know the meaning behind these emblems. Here are some common symbols and their meanings.

1% – as stated by the AMA, these are the unrecognized outlaw motorcycle groups.

13 – this is used to symbolize the letter M which may stand for several meanings including motorcycle, marijuana, methamphetamine, or a secret meaning only known to the members.

It may also mean "12 jurors and a judge" which symbolizes that they can be judged by nobody. We are our own judge and jurors.

9er – symbolizes that the biker has Native American blood since the 9th letter in the alphabet is I.

Ace of spades – this is a symbol for the bringer of death. It means the rider is willing to kill for the group. Or perhaps he has already.

Bad Influence – shows that the biker is a mad man.

DILLIGAF – this is an acronym for "Do I Look like I Give a F ***"

FF – forever, forever is used with the group's title in the beginning and end, as in the Hell's Angels' AFFA and the Sons of Silence's SFFS

Flags – may be used to denote the group's location or origin.

ITCOB. – this is an acronym for "I Took Care of Business"

MC or MCC- this is an acronym for "Motorcycle Cycle Club"

Men of Mayhem – badges or pins given to members who have killed in the name of the group.

Nomad – used on the bottom rocket denoting a person of no particular address. Only a few can truly live to this title.

Skull and Crossbones – the patch stands for "Respect Few, Fear None". In some cases, the cross bones are replaced by swords.

It may also show that the member has killed someone for the group.

Swastika and Nazi symbols – these does not necessarily mean that the bikers are Nazi, rather, they show that they reject the rules of society.

Wings – these are usually used to show achievements. They may sometimes hold a sexual meaning but these are mostly believed to be jokes.

Red wings shows the biker had oral sex with a menstruating female.

Green wings shows the biker had sexual intercourse with a woman with a sexually transmitted disease.

Yellow wings shows the biker drank a woman's urine.

Purple wings shows the biker had sexual intercourse with a corps

Patches may also show the position of a biker in the gang. This may include president, vice president, secretary and sergeant-at-arms. For outlaw groups, it can only be worn in the territory and has to be surrendered when the biker leaves the group.

No matter what the meaning, the patches are treated with honor and respect for it is a great privilege to have the right to wear the group's emblem and call it their own.

Rustic Chic Vs Industrial Decor Style

In interior design and home décor, there are many styles that one can choose from. There are the "pure" styles and then the mix-n-match styles. Two of the more common styles are the rustic chic look and the industrial look. Many people think these looks are one in the same. I'm here to explain why they aren't the same style. First, a couple of questions.

What do you think of when I say rustic chic? Do you think of a farmhouse, wooden cabin feel with wood tables and exposed beams? Or do you think of quilts, repossessed distressed wood with chicken wire and galvanized metal? Both of these descriptions are correct when talking about rustic chic.

Now, what do you think of when I say industrial design style? Do you think of hardwoods, pipes and other metals? Maybe dark, neutral colors, old typewriters, and wood burning stoves? If so they have the right idea of ​​industrial design.

Both the rustic chic design and the industrial design have common elements but they have their distinct difference too. Let us look at each one individually and then maybe we can really see the difference.

Rustic Chic

The rustic chic design is lighter, more feminine, and focuses on natural wood colors or light stains. Like light colored paints and distressed woods. Décor items would include mismatched hardware, chicken wire, galvanized (rusted) metal, exposed wood beams, and wood specific furniture. The easiest way for me to remember rustic chic is to think of a perfect little farm house on a prairie with its simple colors and used items.

Industrial

The industrial design is darker and more masculine. It has dark neutral colors and dark woods. It incorporates a lot of polished or brushed metals. Common features include exposed ducts, pipes, and basically anything we usually try to hide when building a house. Décor items include old metal items, hardwood shelves, and things that remind you of the hard working industrial era of America. An easy way to remember this design would be to think of a warehouse or commercial kitchen made into a house or apartment.

These two design styles have many things in common like their uses of woods of metal but the colors and finishes of those woods and metals are different. It is very common today to find people who mix and match between these two styles to create a rustic industrial style house. They complement each other very well and make for a cozy, yet practical home. You can find many great pictures of rustic industrial houses on the internet for more detail on how they work together.
